Training Department

Mark Twain once said, "If you hold a cat by the tail you learn things that you cannot learn any other way." Technicians learn best through experience. In an ever-changing industry, training is paramount to avoid "learning the hard way." At Empire Truck Sales, our training not only includes the subject matter but also how to be self-sufficient at finding the correct information and processes to continue being effective. Our truck service training classes help prepare future technicians to face the challenges that come with working on a commercial truck! Visit one of our dealerships serving MS, AL, LA, and FL today to start learning more about what it takes to be a commercial truck service technician. Our repairs training programs will get you ready to work on semi trucks from the top manufacturers in the industry!

Our training team is persistent in finding new ways to train so that technicians have an engaging experience and leave retaining the most information possible. We train our truck technicians, those of our customers, and those from other fleets and dealerships outside of our organization. We offer ten courses that focus on vehicle basics and vehicle-specific systems. We also offer five courses on medium and heavy-duty Detroit Diesel engine servicing. We are also capable of creating custom truck repair classes depending on your needs. Reach out to our technical training school to get more information on creating a class for a specific type of truck repairs.  For example, "Basic Electrical and how to use your digital multimeter." *See "ILT class list" for all DTNA courses.

Truck Vibration Analysis Classes

This 2-day training course will provide technicians with an in-depth understanding and skills necessary for diagnosing and troubleshooting of commercial truck noise, vibration, and harshness concerns. Beginning January 1, 2020, a minimum of one truck technician (per location) will be required to be certified in vibration analysis per DTNA Service Training Academy Milestones.

*All requirements apply to technicians performing warranty on DTNA vehicles.

This training course provides the skill necessary to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle-related vibration concerns, introduces the basics of vibration theory, and exemplifies the use of vibration software and tools needed to properly diagnose and correct the root cause.

If you are looking to get certified in truck vibration analysis, visit Empire Truck Sales dealerships across FL, AL or MS and ask to get set up with a technical training class on the subject!
